We have an itch to do deep research about the problem.
- The client was a sports enthusiast and had a good understanding of the local league organizers’ market in the USA.
- The client recognized the shortcomings of manual league management.
- The manual league management had many issues, including high administrative costs for organizers, biased player selection, and poor communication with players and parents.
- Several technology solutions were available for league management, but they did not provide a realistic sports experience for parents and players.

- The software should provide digitized and centralized team management and a realistic player selection process for all system actors, including the league organizer, head coach, assistant coach, players, and parents.
- The system should offer multiple payment and subscription options for league organizers.
- To fulfill these requirements, the client approached Zealous to develop a mobile application and supporting website to serve as sports team management software.

All the data of players, parents and assistant coaches can be imported by league organiser before the draft round and once the league is concluded, all the data can be exported.

Briefing Sessions

Payment Integration
Once the website and mobile app were developed and deployed, multiple payment platforms were integrated.
The fight was tough but so fun to crack!
As there can be multiple leagues going on simultaneously, all head coach and the league administrator should be able to swap around the leagues.
- The head coach and league administrator should be able to switch between multiple leagues running simultaneously.
- The client wanted a multi-subscription model where all system actors, except the head coach, had to pay a subscription fee to access the system.
- The client required a flexible payment solution that would allow for subscription rate upgrades as necessary.
- To fulfill these requirements, personalized Stripe or Paypal payment processes were developed and integrated into the system.
What We Delivered
From nothing to a star!
Draft Clock and Penalty system
Draft clock was set where head coaches must select players in predefined time or else they would be penalised.
Chat options
For effective communication, all the system actors can chat with each other.
Hat Picks and Trade
Players can be traded after the draft rounds and those who are not selected will be randomly assigned.
Subscription
System actors such as league administration, assistant coach and parents must pay a subscription amount for using the system.
Preselected Players
Before the live draft round starts head coach has the functionality to select few players such as head coach son/daughter, assistant coach son/daughter or any other players.
Import Functionalities
All the player and assistant details will be imported into the system via spreadsheet into the system before the draft round begins.
Export Functionalities
Post draft rounds once all the players are selected in a team and trade is completed between the teams, then all the details will be exported again.
Draft Board
List of all the players registered themselves for the leagues will be displayed in this section. System actors will be able to switch between different leagues from this section.
Live Board
On predefined date and time draft rounds will begin and the head coach will start selecting the players.
Notification
If a head coach wants to swap player with another head coach’s team then a notification will be sent. And the head coach will be able to approve the swap using notification.
