- Vadso Municipality offers extracurricular activities for its citizens, and parents can enroll their children along with getting a subsidy on the fees.
- Program’s availability and enrollment process was not accessible through any digital means.
- Parents had to search for available activities and contact the responsible agency to enroll their children for the program.
- Parents have to visit different departments and submit various documents and forms to claim the subsidy.
- The Government was not able to expand the program’s reach.

Development of a Web Application
We proposed the development of a website platform for the municipality staff, parents and other system actors to completely digitize the program.
System integrations
Since the system was developed for Norwegian Students, the System need integration with several official Norwegian data providers to verify the Parent and Student identity.
Multi-user UI
We suggested the client to bifurcate the entire system into multiple users based on the functions and rights of each system actors.

Client Briefing
Various meetings were conducted with the client by a team of the Business Analyst and the Project Manager to understand the client’s requirements.

Document Of Scope
Based on the meetings and suggestions from client, a detailed scope of work, feature list and user personas were defined.

Platform Development
With the use of agile methodology, a dynamic web platform with multiple users was developed for the client without missing any milestones.

After the platform was built, we provided system integrations services to digitize the entire process and make it an ecosystem.

System Testing
Regression testing and integration testing was used to test User Story implementation at each milestone, while the client also conducted UAT for the developed system.
The fight was tough but so fun to crack!
The biggest challenge was to understand the entire process and the existing technology that the Vadso Municipality has employed.
- Our developers had to deal with various complex scenarios like different enrollment requirements and eligibility criteria for subsidies.
- Language barrier was an additional difficulty that our resources had to overcome to communicate effectively with the municipality staff and other stakeholders.
- Integration with other systems was another challenge that required significant attention during the project.
- Our team had to ensure compatibility with multiple systems while maintaining the security and confidentiality of the user’s information.

Seamless On-Boarding
With ID Porten login, users can login into the system without any registering any personal details.
Personalized Dashboard
Once the user logs in, the system will fetch all the details from the ID porten and show them to user.
User-Specific Access Control
The system was bifurcated for 2 end-user’s parents and children and they had access to information accordingly.
Parents Module
Parents can enrol their children into their desired activities and can also claim subsidy from the system.

Activity Provider Management
Administrators can manage the activities and sub-units of the activity provider from the system.

Parents can register for activities by either subsidy or registration invoice or can directly pay with card.
Municipality Module
Administrators can manage the activity providers and activities offered from the system.
Multiple Invoice Registration
Parents can register with unpaid invoice, invoice with/without deductibles and paid invoice.
